Looks Fine. I agree on the 1200. If the opportunity presents itself go with the 1200. Welcome to the Forum....

I had an 883 Hugger that I liked very much, but when a 1200 came along, I went for it. In some ways, I liked the 883 better; rigid mount, narrower, more pullback in the bars, but there's no denying that when you twist that throttle, the 1200 gets your attention.

Default Looks good!

Welcome to the forum. Your English is better than most of my friends.

The bike fits you well. As for the motor; I have a 2007 883L which I had converted to 1200 by my HD dealer. A friend said "That seems like too much motor for such a light bike". It worked fine before the conversion and works just as well now. I have about 10K miles on the motor and it has had no trouble at all. The bike is extremely reliable!

I hope you get the bike you like and have a great time.

Point is that the Sporty is a only affordable Harley for me (money is a problem at present time... In Russia there are wery high price for Harley).

And a few of questions:
1. Is there appreciable difference between the 1200 and 883 (acceleration dynamics?)
2. reliability of motor? I weel buy a used Harley, so I need to know what maximum mileage is critical.

WBR, Shaman.
sorry for my english!
Privet from Texas!

You fit that bike just fine. I think an 883 will do just fine for you out there.

Thanks for the good words Glad to meet you all, great forum!

Planing to sell my Suzuki Volusia 800 and order the Harley from USA.
Prices of Harleys in Russia is really terrible...
Volusia is a good bike, but Harley is always Harley...

bharvey60 - There are two big people in charge - Putin & Medvedev

Another question - the conversion from 883 to 1200 - is difficult to made? And how much does it cost?
May be I will start from 883, and convert it to 1200 in feature.

Hi Shaman,

welcome to the forum from Germany.

You look great on the Sporty - I think itīs really a bike fitting to all sizes.

My wife has a 883 and the dealer told us, that the price for a conversion to a 1200 is almost exactly the price difference between buying a new 883 or a 1200.

This may be only valid for Germany but ask your Dealer
