My amplifier is bolted on the bottom of front engine guard. Speakers clamped on each side of speedometer. XM radio mounting bracket on right handlebar. Volume set at 5, no problem hearing at high speeds.

which system did you get ? I own a 2006 883 custom, and I am looking for something like this. Was the installation difficult?

If you're asking me........Cycle Sounds on the internet. Installing the amplifier was easy, it's the wiring that was time consuming. First we attached to battery w/o ground (bad idea - blew a fuse). Then decided to run wiring up left side of frame and run a wire to battery and ground. Radio (or whatever you want to use) comes on with ignition switch.

It was an all-day project.

Oh, forgot to mention I ordered the incorrect system w/mounting bracket for radio. Had to order correct 'plate' for XM radio. Cycle Sound customer service excellent.
