Default lubing cables question

What's the best lube for the clutch and brake cables and what is the best way to apply into the cable? Or is this something the dealer only should do, do they use something special?

Default RE: lubing cables question

Most bike shops sell cable lube, it's usually graphite based. Usually sold in a spray can with an attacheable thin nozzle. The nozzle lets you spray the stuff down the cables, although for a proper job its best to disconect the cables at the controls, hold them up and then spray to get maximum coverage (penetration). like anything with lubes, a little goes a long way.

Cheers,

Mark
