Default Wide Glide front end

Im wanting to put a wide glide front end with 5-7 degrees of rake on my bike. Its a 2005 sporty 1200 custom. All the kits i can find say they fit 2003 and older. I know they changed the frames to rubber mounted in 2004. Is there any difference in the front ends of the 2 frame's.

I think there is a difference begining with the 04 model. So you would want a kit for 04 and up. The usual recomendation is not to exceed 3 or 4 degrees in the trees or you will most likely be creating issues with the trail.

5-7* is pretty extreme for a factory frame. You'll have one hell of a time riding that thing if you push it too far with a stock frame. Have you considered maybe talking to a shop like LedSled to get your frame modded for a safer (and better looking - IMO) method of achieving what you're after?

They can do custom fab on your frame...usually for a pretty decent price. And it would pay off in the end...your handling would be perfect and you'd get exactly what you're after looks wise.
