I found a 2003 tank used is there anyway it will fit my 1989? I think up to 95 will work.What did they change after 95? If so how hard would this be this fit? I really like the 2003s tanks I just hope I can make it work.

 

In '95+ they put the petcock on the left side. From what I understand a '03 tank will fit your '89. Get a second opinion though. I went backwards and put a '87 tank on my '89.

 

You can put it on, it'll require some light mods to the tank but not much.

 

thanks guys any ideas on what I have to change on the tank? the tank is painted so will i have t o change much? I no the petcock is on the other side can i just run a long fuel line to it would it be that easy?

 

I dont no what to do the deal is good but not sure if i can make it work.
