Same as the OP here, I thought about apes/mini apes a few times but also wondered how they would look with a windshield as I tend to ride with it a lot. I basically have the windshield on at all times, don't really like riding at highway speeds without it (and now its cold )

i don't have any pics but i have to admit, i hate the way my shield looks. because i commute on the highways i often put it on anyways. cruising at 70-80 without a shield
really sucks. if i know i'll stay off the highways ahead of time, it stays off.

sorry no pics...too ugly to photo shoot.

I just put a Wind Vest on mine. I love it except that it hides my bars.
It is the highest quality, best looking windshield bar-none if you ask me.

I just lowered it about an 1in since these pictures today by taking the bolts out of the front and putting ithem in the lower holes, as a suggestion from Doug@windvest, so it looks a little better.
I can't use any other windshield really either though, since I have a mid-glide front-end.

I have to laugh, people think the windshields are ugly, yet they have the reflectors glued all over their bikes,to each their own I guess.

Rob (203Cree), That shield looks awesome. How well does it actually block the wind and bugs?

Bugs? LOL! It doesn't do squat for bugs really, least not the ones that you don't want to hit.

Wind? Blocks off quite a bit that hits your chest, but if you're very tall it shoots it right back into your face. I'm short enough I kinda miss the majority of the wind stream. I'd put it like this....

20 - no glasses
30 - feels bout like 15
40 to 50 - startin to get a bit breezy
60 feels bout how 40 does with no shield
70 - 50ish
80+ - start tucking, lol.

It does exactly what I wanted it to do. If you're looking for something that you could smoke a cig behind or that will keep the wind off your face on cold days, this ain't it. If you're wanting something that knocks a bit off at speed and keeps you from getting worn out as fast, this does the job pretty good. Don't expect miracles, I mean it's freakin tiny, lol. But, as I said, it does what I wanted so I'm happy.

I don't have a windshield but I do have the full face helmet to keep the bugs from hitting my face and drying out my contact lenses. I don't think I'll ever get a windshield because this is not a daily driver for me. I've been on the interstate at 80 mph and I get whipped around a lot but I enjoy the more scenic back roads and 2-lane highways with less traffic.

Personally, I like the look of that little itty bitty windshield someone posted on the first page but I can't imagine it blocks much wind. Who knows...
