Nightster with fuel injection question
#11
I must admit, I like the sound a little loud. I don't mean the "holy crap" loud, but, a lot louder than stock. I'm going to pull a baffle out and measure to see exactly what it is, but, I would guess 2 to 2-1/4. I guess I'm only familiar with the what you call the waffle cone (std) baffle. Whats the difference in regards to sound and performance?

I just measured the rush slip ons that I have on. The outside diameter was 3" and the inside was 2-7/8". I was looking at the "big city thunder" website and they have a baffle that goes in between the head pipe and the slip on. Has anyone heard or know of someone who has tried these.
Thanks again,
Chuck

Why pray tell would you want to do that ? It is so much easier to jst turn the key, hit the start button, wait 2-3 minutes and be gone, without a bunch of coughing/sputtering.
this new breed of 'Sporty' is far superior to the old ones. I had a 93 1200 custom and don't get me wrong, it was a blast, but EFI/Rubber mount . . . . . Awesome results.

yea i forgot that they made a carbed nightster hahahahaha!
ok back to reality did you check the headpipes? alot of times to install slipons you have to loosen the head pipes the gaskets could be bad or not forming a seal so you could be getting a leak. realistically your best bet is to get a piggyback ecu system i.e. fualpak pcIII or one of the others. at least that way you can always check your settings and make changes. just my .02
