Default Am I crazy? (cool-weather riding)

Here it is first week of October. Mornings when I ride to work it's in the low 40's.

People at work keep saying I'm nuts for still riding every day, but I actually don't mind it at all. I wear my lined leather jacket with 2 layers of polartec underneath, my H-D "windbreaker" gloves, and an HD fleece face mask, and I'm plenty warm still. I ordered a pair of Cortech Venture pants to keep my legs warmer.

I'm hoping to hold out at least another 10 degrees colder. I love to ride, and although it take a bit longer to suit up, it's still fun to commute on the Sporty.

Am I crazy? Do you guys still ride in the chill of mid-late autumn?

It's in the low to mid 50's here now when I head to work at 4:00am, but last Feb. I was riding to work every day and will ride to work every morning this winter as well. The only time I wont take the bike to work is if it is raining when i get ready to leave the house or there is ice on the road. If it starts raining while I am at work, I just get wet on the way home.

The coldest I've ridden in was 20deg. I taped around my faceshield to keep the wind out a little better and put on a ski mask. Then took off and rode.

it's always 50 degrees here in San francisco. I ride every day unless it's heavy rain. Cable car tracks get slick.a full face helmet and Held Storm gloves keep me pretty warm
