holy crap look at the price of those!!!

if you aren't in a big hurry, i'm going to be putting road king air shocks on my nightster and will post the truth about how it rides. i found the parts on ebay. so far i'm in this project for $60. i expect i'll have to spend another 3-4 bucks on washers and shrader valves.

i'll post results in a few days.

just get a set of progressive shocks for your weight, you can easily use 12.5 in shocks for a better ride with unnoticable ride elevation, shorter shocks have less travel and stiffer springs, i have 13.2 in triple adj YSS rear shocks and 2003 triple adj 03 sportster forks on my 06 not so lo, EXCELLENT, i am 5-8 and still flatfoot, depends what $$ and ride you want, sportster suspension is POOR POOR POOR!!!!!! IMHO

I did as Bernard suggested, I went with Progressive 440 standards in 13.5" length and couldn't be happier. Between that and Progressive Fork Springs and utilizing the spacer at full length it rides smooth, no spine jarring ever.

I went with the Progressive 11.5" heavy duty and couldn't be happier. It is a little stiff riding solo but with two up it can't be beat. Also, these shocks can be had cheap.

There is also Works Performance. Not cheap, but very high quality. Or you could go all out with an air ride from Hi-Lo. Really expensive but a high quality product.
