Default Draining Gas Tank

I'm off to Italy with two Sportsters (1200 C and a Nightster) - anybody know how I can drain the gas out of the tanks - short of turning the bikes upside down and emptying them. They can't be shipped with any gas in the tanks.... advice... help...??? Thanks English Bulldog

use a plunger type hand pump and or remove the fuel line on the bottom of tank! Then purge the tank with constant flow of fresh air... at least that's how we did it to defuel aircraft drop tanks prior to shipping-
