Default OT: Who makes a good half helmet?

I did not see a forum on here for gear discussion so here it goes. I am looking for a cool looking DOT approved half helmet. I like the german style looks a lot but not sure who makes a good comfy one.

I have my Shoei RF-1000 but want something lighter for quick rides around town.

I found this one and they happen to be one of my favorite bands.

although not DOT approved i love my biltwell. i used to rock a german helmet (again not DOT approved), but as soon as i got my biltwell thats all i've been wearing. its lightweight, cuts down on the outside noise, and is super comfortable.

at first i was a little hesitant about paying so much for a novelty helmet, but i'm very satisfied.

and sorry if you were only looking for DOT recommendations

you should look at carbonfiberhelmets.com they are pricey but the strongest, lightest, and most safe I've had so for, and they do make a couple different kind of german half cuts in DOT and novelty

I've got a plain flat black DOT Skid Lid brand helmet and it fits fine, was cheap and doesn't stick out too much to give me a mushroom head. What else do you need?

I have this (sans visor):

It's DOT yet thinner than other brands I tried. I don't look like a *****, in other words. It's like 40 bucks.

*edit* might help to tell you it's a Vega brand helmet

For the price I like that skid lid. One thing I cannot stand is the helmets that sit up far off your head and create that mushroom look. I want something really low profile.
