883L from the graveyard
I've been working on this 883L for a couple of months. I bought this Sporty that was crashed. It's an 06 and only had 1400 miles on it. When my wife and I went to look at it, (as a gift for my daughter who recently turned 19), it was in pretty sad shape. The rear wheel was completely crushed; missing basically the whole rear end: seat, rear fender, oil tank covers, brake was disconnected, etc. It must have sat for a while, because a bunch of stuff was pilfered off it: one of the mufflers, the rear brake bracket, the list goes on. Anyway, I could see the end result when I took my first look at it, my wife was a bit of a skeptic..... I did look pretty sad. Ok, finally done, and here's the result.

NICE job!!!
That's the look I'm shootin' for, if we do Momma's build this winter.

Those are lowering brackets. The Low is about 1.5 inches lower when stock, but it was still a little too tall, so I did the natural fiscal alternative and turned to ebay. The lowering brackets were pretty inexpensive, but quality. I had to make my own spacers, but that's about it. The brackets allow you to lower the bike to your preference.
Thanks for all the positive comments; sorry no before pics, I normally take some before a project too.
