Question Jafrum Leather Saddlebags?

http://www.jafrum.com/Motorcycle-Lug...her-Saddlebags

Has anyone got the Jafrum bags? They seem pretty reasonably priced. My worry is that they aren't going to be very high quality? Also, they claim no extra hardware is required... Wouldn't I need the support bars? What about relocating the tail lights?

One last thing... what's the biggest size bag that will fit an 883L?

Anyone at least know what the best size for the 883 is? Dimensions?

I have never seen the leather saddlebags from Jafrum but I did buy some gloves and a leather headwrap from them. The leather headwrap was ok but kind of cheap. The leather gloves were very poorly made and were such thin leather that they tore when I pulled them up. Inside the gloves I could see the insulation was nothing more than cheap foam. I did send them back and they did credit me back my money at least, but I did loose the shipping. I am afraid to buy anything there again.

As far as any saddlebags go, you get what you pay for. To try to figure out what size bags you want, try mocking up some with cardboard. Then you could get an idea how they would look. The Harley catalog (online or otherwise) might be helpful for looks and size as well. They usually have pics of the bags on a bike and give the dimensions. I put saddleman saddlebags when I had my sporty. You can check out their web site for options.

I bought saddlebags from Jafrum. I have found out you get what you pay for. I also got saddlebags from Leatherconnexion. The saddlebag I got from there is excellent quality.

I bought some Jafrum bags and you do get what you pay for. The quality leaves a lot to be desired. Would not buy from them again nor would I recomend them to anyone. At least it was only $50 and not $500.

They have Jafrum bags over at Competition Acess here in town, and they do seem pretty cheap.
I've always ran with Willie & Max stuff myself.

So with the Willie and Max bags, did you just use their Universal Mount Saddlebag Brackets? I'm looking on the jpcycles website... You guys all use the throw overs? You like them better than the rigids?
