Trying to help my boy out with a handlebar mod. He wants to put 16" apes on his 08 1200c. He will be going with a 1 1/2" riser. First question is how much over stock will the throttle, idle, clutch and front brake have to be?

Next question is will the speedo mounting bracket for the 1200L fit? Both are built into the top clamp and the the 1200Llooks like the reverse of the 1200c in that it puts the speedo overthe headlamp instead of over the tank?

First of all, howdy, from a fellow SoCal High Desert Rat. If the width of the bars will be the same just find out the height difference between the existing setup and the new. That's how much extra length you'll need to add.

 

Desert Rat... lol. Thanks for the help. He's looking at Burly narrow glide apes- 32" wide, 16" height. Narrow at the center to compliment the narrow fork width. I thought for certain someone would have a size (+") on this. Searched but couldn't find a definative answer.
