OK all good suggestions. Thanks for the responses. I did measure it and It was right around 3.8" So does that mean it's a 1200 or an 883?

C man, the 883 has a 3 inch bore and a 3.81 stroke and the 1200 has a 3.5 inch bore and a 3.81 stroke, so you going to get 3.81 either way.

Does it lift the wheel on a full throttle 1-2 shift? Don't think an 883 will accomplish that one, lol. Could be wrong tho.

I guess if stroke doesn't matter I will just have to wait and get out there and see how quick it is unless I find some reason to take the heads off. Thanks for all of your input.

missing the point again.. sure stroke is unchanged but piston "length" from the bearing is different on a 883 from a 1200 therefore the lenth is less.
