Default drag pipes on an 07 1200

Does anyone have drag pipes on their fuel injected 1200? I've heard you lose a lot of power with drag pipes. Is that true? Someone fill me in on what the deal is.
Thanks,
Chad

Drag pipes will cause a loss of torque from a little above idle through at least 3500 rpm, give-or-take. There are some things you can do to alleviate the torque loss. Read here: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/useless-threads/7223-drag-pipe-how-to.html

The link is a little hard to read as it has some punctuation "junk" in it left over from when the forum got hacked.

Drag pipes were designed for just that, drag raceing. great pipes for wide open throttle. not so good for much else other than noise unless you find some baffels. You might give Bassani pipes a look.they sound great and get better as they "age" from rideing. Will wake the neighborhood up when you open her up too.
