Impending winter blues...
Just went out for a quick spin after that horrible Steelers game, and I was thinking, how are you all coping with the upcoming winter? This is my first year with a bike, and I gotta tell you, I wish I lived in a climate where I could ride all year. How about you Northerners out there...How do you cope?

This is my first bike....got my license last november, took the test it was 36 degrees.....bought my bike two weeks later and proceeded to put 3k miles on it riding all winter.....had to needed the practice for daytona in feb beside s I did not know anybetter....the first time i finally got to ride when the temp was actually above 40 I thought wow....forget about it now that I have been riding in nothing but warm weather...my skin has gotten thinner and I know what it feels like.....I AM DREADING WINTER..... i am definitely gonna go through some serious withdrawals..... Ditto on the awful Steelers game!!!!

I live in Washington State. If I waited for nice weather to ride, I'd be waiting another 9 months. I just put on a coat of wax today to protect the paint a bit while I brave the elements.
Ride year round and commute every day on my N.
There are riders and owners - which one are you?

Riding is definitely do-able in the Northeast. Was 44 degrees and very damp this AM in State College, PA. Rode my Sporty (no shield) 120 miles no problem. Wore full gloves, a lined jacket, 3/4 helmet and pulled the collar around my neck. Hands got cold after 30 miles at 70mph. Plan on riding until the roads ice up and the roads are salted...
Don't forget the Harley charger and quick connect on the battery.
