Default 883 not that popular?

I dont see any threads about the 883. Is that the least popular Harley? I thought about getting one (883 low) but a friend of mine was saying it is a chicks bike(Sporty) especially the 883. What do you think?

theres plenty of 883 threads and most 883 people tend to do the 1200 conversion. for the extra power you might wanna just go straight for a 1200 if you can but theres nothing wrong with 883 and anybody can ride one. ride the 883 and 1200 to decide which u need,

I had an 883 Low for 4 months, after trading in my Suzuki Intruder 800. I loved it, but ... decided I was ready for a little more "oomph" and went with the 1200N. The 883 is a great bike. I agree with Nighster Reaper - if there is any way you can ride one of each, do so.

I've got an 883. Love it. I haven't ridden in many moons, so it's good for me now. Will I ever upgrade? Maybe, maybe not. I don't give a rat's rear end what anyone says, it's a Harley and it's mine.

The 883 is classic displacement for the Sportster. Plenty of motivation for gettin' around and lotsa fun. 1200 has more oomph but nothing wrong with 883. It will take you well into illegal speeds. All the "chick bike" stuff is nonsense.

Well above legal speeds. You really do need to test ride them though. Everybody is different. I love my 883 but other people feel they need the 1200. Try 'em out and compare.

I love my ultra classic and 883! The 883 is plenty fast and agile and a hoot to ride especially after riding a big bike. I am 6ft - 5 in and 225#. You can call be a girl if you want to but I will show some of the love back and call you a puffer lol.

Go to a dealer that rents bikes and rent different bikes to see which one you like best. You might be surprised at what you learn from the different bikes!
