I am torn between a pair of Cycle Shack Slip ons and a set of V&H Staggered Shortshots.

I have Rush slip ons with 2.25" baffles. They are quite loud, but with a nice deep sound. You could go with a smaller baffle which (I assume) would keep them a little quieter if you are concerned about the noise level. I LOVE mine, and get lots of compliments on the sound.

I also am loving my Rush's. I'm running with the 1.5" baffles which are the most quiet. They still have a nice deep tone with a very liveable noise level. No other Sporty sounds like it around here.

Question to ya'll who have the slip ons .. Do you have to do an INTAKE uprgade ( air cleaner/filter. rejet) before you installed your slip ons ?? Thanks for your replyies to my rookie question.

I would recommend the cycle shack slip-ons from Jireh cycles.. best price\value for getting your sport louder.
They come in tapered or baloney cut etc.

You do not need to change\upgrade our air cleaner.

How on another topic... if you want to make you sport run a little more ricker.. get the O2 IED cables from Nightrider.

For ~$70 my 1200 custom has been running smoothly with more power - almost 1000 miles on the cyles. Put them on same time as the cycle shacks... about 200 miles... if I remember correct.
