Default Kinda New to You Americans

Just found this forum and it's proved to be both interesting and informative. But I am an Englishman in California and trying to understand all of the the US speak and terminology. I bought a 2008 Nightster last year here in California - did the Riders Edge course - man that was a long four days and I managed to fall off the Buell at the end - but still passed. So... have I done the right thing in buying a Nightster? I love the way it looks - and the way it rides. But man is the suspension hard.

I am on my way again in a few weeks to Europe to live and need to ship the bike and my girlfriend's 1200C - anyone know a good international shipper?

If a Nightster is what stole your heart, then you definitely did the right thing. There are cures for a hard suspension. Check into Progressive Suspension. I'm not a salesman for them, just a very satisfied customer. Good luck mate!

We don't speak English in California. I understand your predicament...I have relatives all over Scotland and England. No particular recommendation for a shipper, but recommend that the bikes be crated, rather than just a pallet.

Thank You - but I sort of understand the AmeriKan! Have to say that you guys are spoiled by the roads out here in the US. Sure you have to watch out for the PoPo but I'm telling you you have the best motorcycle roads than anything I've ever seen or ridden in Europe and man the places and bars you have are simply (as you say in AmeriKa) awesome!

Just need someone to point me in the way of a good shipper because in the next few weeks I have to leave this great country and head to a new job in Italy. Anybody got any recommendations for a California Englishman?

Apparently The BullDog hasnt had the misfortune of trying to ride the roads of NE Pa. yet. PS... HD makes their bikes uncomfortable so you will spend more of your money on well... HD ....

I would post your question about shippers in the General Chat section on the forum. You should get a lot more info. there as has a larger audience of all Harley riders.
