Huh, mine's in it's 8th year right now...... & that's without ever using a battery tender. Mine must be defective.

Harley batteries last a lot longer than that I just change the one out in 2000 last winter and my wifes 2003 is still on the orginal and if you do have to change your battery try out one from Drag Specialties, good top quality sealed battery at a fair price.

I will never buy another Drag Specialties battery again. Unlike the new HD AGM batteries which have solid terminal posts, the DS batteries have hollow posts that are easy to break if the bolts are overtightened. That's not hard to do since the lack of a tight battery cable connection is often the cause of problems.
