My last report

I have 227 miles on my new Venoms, way better then stock all-around. Makes my bike ride smoother and handles the curves a lot easier. I love the look of the 90/90 21" front tire dont look as skinny as the stock 21" did. I can now go from lane to lane on the highway and I cant feel the seams in the highway like I could with the stock tires, love that.
Thanks for the advice... Great tires.

I now have 637 miles on the Venoms, still love them. I just cant believe how much better that 90-90 front tire handles then the stock tire. I know it's only 1/2" wider so there must be more to it then that. Maybe it's the tread design or the profile of the tire or something like that, what ever it is I like it...
Great tires so far...
Gary.

I think it is the profile. They are much "rounder" in profile than the squarish Dunlops.

Don't worry too much about the 2500 mile thing. I have over 3K on mine and the rear is still great, like new. There are a lot of variables between bikes, riders, driving style etc.

Hi, I just put Avon venoms on My 06 1200C and love them . I keep the rear at 40lbs. and the front at 38lbs. handles great and took all the vibration ( the little that was left ) out of the ride. Had 12,000 miles on a set of these on My last ride and they looked like new, so I am hoping to get the same milage from the set on the Sporty.....WVleo

I think the handling difference is down to those things as well, but I chalk it up mostly to them being made of a much softer compound which molds to the road better than the Dunlops. I just did a weekend of rain riding in France last week and the tires were never an issue on any surface and in any conditions. They held the road and left me feeling confident in their grip.

As for wear, I don't care if I only get 1,000 miles out of them, as long as they're a solid, grippy 1,000 miles. I've got about 7,000 on them so far and they still look like new, though the rear is starting to show a flatter center section, as you'd expect.

Glad to hear you're having such a good experience with them. Harley ought to offer them either as stock (ditch the Dunlops), or at least as a dealer supplied option on delivery.
