i just bought a SE ignition module and i have tried to install it my buddy tried to install it about 4 times and another person has tried to install it and now i have give up.... i do everything the paper says to do but when it get to the part where the security lamp is supose to come on it doesnt? the check engine light comes on instead... by the way my bike doesnt have a secuity system anyway...can anybody help me please.... and the bike is a 2006 sportster 1200 custom carburated.....thanks

 

I know there is a very specific sequence you need to do things. I also know that the module for the 1200 isnt the same as the 883. Are you certain you have the correct module.
