It is better to have some friends around to help you hold some of the pieces while you tighten or loosen things up.
You will need a 25 or 27 torq driver and an allen wrench.
A 3/6 ratchet and the correct allen bit socket allows you to loosen and tighten the allen head bolts with more ease.
It's pretty easy.
Slightly loosen the bolts holding the handle bar in place.
Loosen the screws on the controls.
Let the controls hang or have someone hold them or support them with a table or tie wrap.
Loosen the screws on the throttle/right hand grip.
At this point you will have to completely loosen the bolts holding the handle bars.
You will need to move the handle bars to the left to get the throttle/right hand grip of the bar, depending on how long the throttle / idle cables are.
You remove the handle bars at this point.
You still have the left hand grip on the bar.
Slightly pry up on the grip and add a small amount of water or lubricant that evaporates quickly like alcohol.
Start to twist on the grips from the thumb side and work your way to the pinky side loosening the grip off the bar.
Now to install new bars.
In reverse order.
First you install the left hand grip.
Secondly, you slide the right hand grip / throttle on, Do not tighten yet.
Place handle bars in place and lightly tighten, Do not tighten yet.
Now place the controls on the handle bars and lightly tighten, Do not tighten yet.
Sit on your motorcycle and straighten the bike up.
Adjust your handle bars and tighten them up tightly.
Tighten the throttle in place firmly.
Adjust the controls / levers and tighten firmly.
Check to make sure that your controls do not hit your gas tank.
Check to make sure it is a good fit and secure everything in place again.
Once you think that you are finished go to each screw and verify that it is tightened firmly.
Riding down the road is not the place to wonder if you secured everything in place tightly.

Thanks for the recommendation on no thread locker, as much as these things shake it always seems like a good idea to throw some blue on when you have the chance.
