after you spray enough clear to bury the flake it won't be very pretty so start out with 1000 grit then work your way to 3000, then polish.. you may have to sand and polish again a few weeks later after it all shrinks again.....

thanks for your help! i am pumped to get this sucker painted! next week i lay my base coat! i want to mock it all up first then i will tear it all down! thanks for your help!

Same paint scheme on the oil and battery covers. JRK's seat design idea, too. The bike looks damn good as it is, though. Great job!

JRK, post your progress...from what I've seen, you do good work, and I think it'll be cool to see the process (though I can't ever imagine MYSELF doing it!)

here are pics of my build so far... with the swap over you have to go to the end of the thread to see some current pics... and then go forward to see the build process thus far... paint starts at the end of the month after i finish the tank and fender prep and mock up!
