Default Turbocharging my nightster???

ive got the turbo off some masserratti v6 twin turbo, its just the right size for a simple set up with low boost on my nightster. I Hope someone has some experience on this subject and could answer a few questions i have before i get started.
How much boost can you safley run on a tuned 1200??
Whats the weakest part of the motor?
Whats the best deal on a tunable EM system that works with the newer FI model 1200's??

Any info on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

On all the turbo eng's I work on, Under ideal conditions you COULD get 28 lbs, but normal will be 23-24 under heavy load, if you can get 20 on a bike you will be doing good, and it will only help you while you are twisting, nothing while cruising. I think a good progamable ecu like the PCIII they talk about on here would be equally as good, unless you just want a turbo for bragging rights. It will be a job, you have to run oil lines to keep turbo bearings cool, find a place to tuck it into on the bike, air inlet and out let "hose", exhaust to and from turbo, going to be a job. Good luck. Hope this helped.

Here is a website for a kit already designed. 113 hp and 102 tq isn't bad.

its a LOT of work if you arent buying a kit, but if you get it done more power to ya!

i would say email the companies who make sporty turbo kits and just ask simple questions like what is your boost and how safe is it blah blah blah, the answers they give will help you tune your system. if you tell them straight out your doing it yourself they might not help you becuase they lose business though
