Default Checklist for 5000 mile service?

Anyone have a checklist for 2008 sportsters for the 5000 mile service? I know that Fix My Hog has a service you can buy into but I have to figure that there is a checklist somewhere.

Also anyone know if the repair manual is out yet for 2008 sportsters? (must be a checklist in there) So long as I am doing the fixits and service stuff on it I just want to make sure that I do all of it. Why not right?

Have you tried looking in the back of your Owners Manual?

Yes 08 Service Manuals are out.

Get the owner's manual...or you can go to your friendly neighborhood Harley-Davidson dealership's service department, and ask them for the checklist sheet. There are 30 items on the 5,000 mile checklist, and I'm not gonna list them all manually here. It just takes too long.

Did your scoot come with an owners manual? If it did, there is a checklist in the back.

Are the primary and transmission oil the same on an '08? I thought
Sportster motors rely on only two separate fluids to lubricate the bike's powertrain.

at 5000miles you better be prepared to change rocker box cover gaskets
harley aught to be ashamed of the lack of quality here almost no1 gets more than if as much miles before they start to leak.
just my oppinion don't hate me!i love my sporty but i would prefer to put money in upgrades not repaires.
