Slip Streamer Tombstone winshield: my review
As many of you know, I don't like windshields. Always liked the look of a bike better without one.
So, after being constantly pelted this year with cicada's, grasshoppers, and other flying critters, I decided to look thru what's out there now. Found the Tombstone in the latest JP Cycles catalog and liked the looks of it.

Well, it finally arrived this morning, and since it's about 95 and humid outside at the moment, I figured today would be the perfect day to test it
Instalation was pretty straight forward (once I realized I had the mounts on backwards), and it bolted up like about any other handlebar mount shield. Took about 30 mins to put on (including lining it up).
Did a 50 mile ride with it, and I have to say, I really like it. Since it's so small and narrow, you don't really feel like you a shield in front of you. You can notice the lack of pressure on your chest, but your arms and face are still in the wind.
As far as catching bugs/debris, it did it's job perfectly. I didn't notice much buffeting (if any), and it seems to make the Sporty a bit more aero. The revs seemed to be a bit lower at speed as well.
Overall, for being quite inexpensive (I got mine for 45 at amazon.com), I highly recommend this windshield.
It looks good, and does it's job.

I think this is the answer for those of us that think a windshield will spoil the look of the bike or just don't like them.
I did notice a little bit of buffeting on the back of the helmet but it was very minor.
As schumacher said it is easy to install and I learned from his mistake so it didn't take long at all.
My .02 worth.

Went HD instead
I got the HD windshield...classic cop style that clamps on very simply. I had a hard time buying something I could check over myself.
I did spend more for the HD ws set up...but it was my wifes Christmas present, and I figured in the long run it would help with the re-sale.
She is already eyeing a the Heritage Softtale.
