I guess I, initially, did not word my question the way it I wanted it to be asked.

For that I apologize.

I am aware of listening to the motor, when it revs excessively you shift up and when it bogs you shift down.

However, since HD produced the bike with no tachometer, I thought well maybe there is a preferred speed at which the specific shifts are to take place during your ride.

And being the experienced group of riders that you guys & gals are here on this forum I thought it to ask, are there any preferred speeds at which specific shifts are to take place upon acceleration of the motorcycle.

Well, sounds like there may not be a particular sweet spot or number and that shifting techniques are more of a personal preference, and therefore to each their own.

I do appreciate the favorable input and advice.

Thank you all!

Enjoy your HDs.

Default I have no tach or speedo...

I just listen to the motor. When you hear it wind out or at the top of the band shift but don't over throttle it, let off the throttle then shift. Like somelse said
you can do it liek you shift a car, just listen to that motor.
