That's cheaper than anyone was willing to paint the Sportster beetle bags and the Corbins are much roomier. The colors are Light Green Envy and Dark Green Envy, the Dark Green always looks black in pictures but it is gold metal flake underneath just like the Light Green.
I really like the color of that C you're running. Depending on your timeline, I'll be more than happy to take measurements off mine (when I order them) and you can see if they'll fit for you.

How are you liking the 440's?

Thanks much, the 440s were the making of my bike as far as I'm concerned. The wheels can actually follow the contour of the road surface without upsetting the bike. Maybe you could shoot a few pics of the side next to wheels. Thanks again, Dave

You'd think that with as cheap as suspension is, HD would put decent springs on the bike in the first place... I don't know what the unit cost is, but if we're paying between $200 and $400 retail for springs and that's really not that much.

Bake, CW did a test of a new Sportster a few months ago and suprisingly, "for them", they liked it but qualified that by saying it came equipped with the best $5.00 shocks money could buy. The shocks on mine were pretty much the immoveable object, whereas others claim the stock shocks are too soft, how do you sort all that out? I dunno. I tend to assimilate info and then shoot for the high end when making a decision, in this case results are very good.

I think that is a very good way of describing the suspension on every HD I've ridden. From the various reports of too hard and too soft, I have to wonder if perhaps HD is getting springs with inconsistent K values. It certainly would account for the varied reports on the springs and how lousy they are.

I think I'll set mine up and test them to see if the two springs that I took off are the same strength, just out of curiosity.

I am with you 100% on shooting high. There's no sense in buying something only to replace it later with what you should have gotten in the first place.

The 440's were my choice until the 413's were recommended to me. I wanted to lift the bike as well as increase pre load and improve performance, so I jumped on the 15" springs. I wish the 440's were available in 15", but they weren't....

Those are the best looking bags I've ever seen, but 1700 is a good wad of cash.

And if Mrs. HogDog is smiling, you're smiling.

Sometimes it hurts less to sign the check and let them fill it out.

ssihogdog, I use my bike to commute back and forth to work and would like to know if those Corbin bags have room for a larger size laptop HP 6910p. Thanks.
