Default valve noise 1200N 2008 1500 miles

As I was braking in my new 1200N, I started to roll on the throttle and valve noise started (ping, maybe valve float) I don't know. this is my first street bike. Dealer at first said it was normal, at the 1000 mile check up, dealer said there maybe a computer fix coming. It doesn't seem like there has been a post like this, so I must be the only person with this problem. Thanks for your help in advance. Hope that makes sense.

1200's are too lean from the factory.

Check the manifold bolts. My 1200XL actually fell of on the back duelly (one was stuck on the heat shield). This is where the O2 sensor is for the fuel injection. I took it as new rider on a sportie, and a F*cked day at work. Ping and bad acceleration. This was just above 3800 miles, but I'm not usually pushing the bike. Runs fine now even when I push.

Notfried is right 93 octane is needed due to the compression, be sure it is a well known station.

Mine makes a lot of "valve noise", It's not the sounds of anything damaged just very loud. I can hear it over my short shots with no baffles while going down the highway. Suprised me but seems to be fine. I've got 6K and running like a champ. Good luck!

I had a noise like that but only when giving it heavy gas. I found the fix however..... I traded the bike in.

Default octane

I'm using premium gas, from what I think is a major gas station. Thanks for ideas to think of.
