Tell me about it!
I used to have a Sportster, great on twisties, it is ok for long ride but you will feel it after 150 miles, find yourself a better seat, it will help a little at least. I have ridden 300 miles day trip without a problem except my lower back and rear end lol.

I'd recommend a new seat. I ride with a Le Pera and have never had any problems on 300mi. + rides.

Get a good seat and depending on your handlebars you may want to find what feels comfortable to you. A break after every hour helps alot. We ride two-up 300 plus quite often.

A new seat is a good idea. And for me, some pull-back handlebars wold help for long days, day after day.

Sportys will work, but they take a little after-market work for most.

I don't recommend dragbar for long ride, just my $0.02.

Mustang wide solo, apes pulled back, forwad controls, windshield, actually more room than my EG.The only difference is that even with the windshield I get hit by wind more than my EG.But the Sport is a long distance runner.

Also must add that the Sport kicked butt on three some kind of Metric cruisers last night and the old girl is stock except for a 3/4 inch hole in each baffle.

I don't mind 300+ mile trips on mine, maybe even once a week would ok. If I were riding that distance every day, I would have to buy me a Road King.
