He's gonna love it. I just purchased the a 93 883 on ebay also. I love it, my side covers both sides and forks have that same corrosion. I took off the chain guard and tried a buffing wheel but it didn't get it out. When it gets too cold I'm gonna take them off and sand them down and polish them. Good luck to your son.

nice ride jake, I wish you were my dad. Thats way cool. he must be real jazzed about that. ...Side question though what the heck are ya still doing over there? I thought you were coming home this month? But I do seem to remeber you said something months ago about maybe staying til november so you could redo/remod the kitchen............just askin..............stay safe jake

Ahh...you have a good memory. I was home in June on vacation and signed an extension until January so I could remodel the kitchen, living room, breezeway, and bathroom.

We'll see what happens. I'm hoping that I'll be done for good in January...

Man, what great find. Congrats...your son will love you forever now, lol. You probably already know this, but don't forget to change out all the fluids.
