You ain't nothing unless you put at least 20,000 miles a year on bikes....
Just kidding, as the amount of miles a person puts on a bike will vary greatly from person to person.
The majority of Harley owners have families, jobs, and all the responsibilities and obligations that go with the territory, so they might only be able to ride a little in the evenings and then on weekends, when time is available.
Others like myself don't have any obligations to get in the way of riding, so of course I have almost unlimited time to ride.

I bought my brand new Sporty on April 15th and have almost 6500 miles already. I don't know if I will keep up that pace but I do have a long trip planned in October. I realistically may get between 18K - 20K on it by next April 15th, but I may buy another bike in the next few months and share the miles between them. And no, it does not make you more of a man. It just means you enjoy ridin'.

I do not try to rack up miles, but I sure as **** don't see a point in owning a bike if you're going to keep it in a garage and rub it with a diaper when you could be riding.... if the weather is nice, I'm feelin' good and I am free on Saturday or Sunday morning, there will be 300-500 miles on the odometer before I pull back into the garage.
