Default iron heads

ok i was looking at a cpl ironheads and was wondering what there major down falls are?
thanx

ok let me add a few more questions.

can a iron head have the heads changed to the evo heads?

do the iron heads have a problem with warping or cracking?

i know the iron heads are prone for leaks but i think i can live with that.

Depends on the year. Lots of different issues, but nothing that can't be overcome. Well, except for the 1979 year. Had some "different" things about it, and a lot of the usual stuff for other years won't fit.

Just remember, even if you rebuild one of these fine ladies, she'll need more TLC than a new model. But that's the cost of class!
