Anyone modified Quiet Baffles or any baffles to make it even more quieter? If so, what did you do?

I have the V&H Slipons and with Quiet Baffles and I think it's a little too loud. Is there anything more I can do to tone it down?

Thanks

Might as well put the stock pipes back on and call it a day.

you can get more packing but it never really works out right...always blows out... you are better off going with the stock pipe

Screaming Eagle slip ons would probably be about the closest thing to filling the gap in sound between stock and quiet baffles. Not the SE2's but the newer version.

Put your stock pipes back on and start step drilling hole sizes in the baffles and stop when you like the sound. Start with a 3/16" hole and go larger from there.

I think my Short Shots w/ quiet baffles are getting quieter - that or I am getting some hearing loss - either way they sound good to me.

I do love the sound, it sounds good at idle, but when cruising on the freeway it can get a little too much. I just don't want to annoy and **** anyone off.

You could take the Vance & Hines mufflers off, and get the Screamin' Eagle II slip ons. I think that would be a good balance between stock and where you are now. But if the only reason is to keep from annoying others, then I wouldn't worry about it. I get annoyed all the time on the road, but it's never from loud pipes.
