Alright I bought all the necessary stuff to relocate my speedo what I need now is a step by step tutorial,lol,anyone willing to help,I wanna put it under the tank like I"ve seen fishboys etc.

yea im curious where the speedo re-mounts on the left side of the engine, i bought the new clamp but when i searched the forum, it appears that the original poster of that mod deleted all his posts, anyone else have anything?

the speedo mounts on the coil bracket on the left side of the bike where the torx bit is.

The bracket that holds the speedo on is an Autometer part #3209. (I got mine from summitracing.com.) There are different options for the handlebar clamp. That's really all you need. (although, I did use some electrical tape. )

I guess my '06 883R is a little different than the nightsters...i didn't see a torx bit sticking out from the coil bracket, it's just a solid piece of black painted metal. I guess i could just drill a hole in it and mount it there, right?

also when i get my new clamp how do I remove the speedo from the old mounting bracket?
