hey guys,

interesting replies. appreciate all the input. regarding the lowering comment, no the bike geometry is completely stock. the only mods to the bike are on my sig.

I'm going to have to get under there with someone holding the bike upright as someone suggested, and figure out just what is going on.

Understand, I'm not riding her bike like Nicky Hayden. This can happen when I turn left at a stop light. If I make a true 90 degree turn, and really dip the bike to make a left, it will also scrape.

from what I am hearing on theis thread, this is not right.

I'm also going to stop by a dealer and look at some 1200C's on the floor to compare.

Boost that baby up with suspension upgrades and ride the **** out of it,or accept what you got and ride the **** out of it.

On my 2008 XL1200R, the first thing to drag on the left is the sidestand.

With all the other bullcrap that's been going wrong with the bike, I haven't had time to dink with finding out what I can do to make it right....

I think its freakin ridiculous that you even have a jiffy stand, pegs and muffler on your bike!!!

I have an 07 1200c and have never scraped the stand, did scrape the oem mufflers a few times before I changed them.
