Default Trying to cram PCIII under stock Nightster seat

Has anyone successfully fit the PCIII USB into the Nightster with stock seat? I just don't see how this thing fits in there. There is barely enough room for all the wiring, let alone this big wiring harness. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

I've been working at it for hours. It seems simple enough except there isn't enough room to fit the harness in there. I'm sure that it will work if I do it exactly right, but I haven't got it yet. Start early if you are doing it tomorrow.

I played with it, and played with it, and played with it some more. What finally got it to fit, was I removed the battery, crammed the wires up as far as I could, put the battery back in, got the harness still a bit over the frame, put the seat back on, sat on it so it would seat onto the bike, and pushed the harness off the frame in to the center with a ratchet extension so that it was not on top of the frame. Then the seat sat down the rest of the way and I can't feel the harness when I sit down like I could at first. That was a pain! Hope my experience helps you tomorrow.

It can be done despite how it seems. Do a quick search for PCIII in the Sportster forum and you will find several posts about this issue. There are a couple that have pics as well to help you out.
