I have an 02 1200XL and I was thinking of installing the auxillary lighting as an added safety measure. Does anyone have a photo of what they look like on a Sportster without a windshield?

I also had a question aboput headlamps. Is there a way to clean up the looks of the XL headlamp? I can't stand the looks of the headlamp housing kit/shroud over the headlamp. I prefer the cleaner looks of the Bullet headlamps but it looks like there is only a kit made for the 1200C. Any suggestion on how to improve this area?

 

I think I saw somewhere that you just need to drill the proper sized hole in the lower tripple tree clamp for the Bullet headlamp to mount it. I also found if you buy a Sylvania Silverstar headlight bulb (available at Advance Auto Parts or simular product bulb) it will increase your light output by 25%. Makes a huge difference at night.
