I got the QD Sport windshield. I use it when I go my in-laws (100 highway miles each way). I take it off when the father inlaw and I ride the county roads. I love the conveinience of the QD shield and would highly suggest it for the fact that it's completely worth the extra cost.

I have the HD quick-release windshield. I rarely use it, but it's always in the garage if I need it. I prefer riding without it, but it does help to keep wind and bugs off of you if you decide to go on a trip. Helps in the rain too.

I have the HD quick detach compact low. I believe it's 15" from the top of the headlight cutout to the top of the shield. It keeps the wind in my face and off my chest, which is what I want. I never take it off, so with that being said, if I had it over again, maybe a Memphis Fats 17" shield. I'm not in the market for one though...My current one does just fine for me.

I have been tempted in the past to try out a National Cycles Plexi-fairing, but I just haven't gotten the ***** to ride with it on in public yet! Yes, it might WORK, especially in the rain, but GEEZ it looks like the front half of Wonder Woman's invisible plane!

I also have the HD QD shield. I replaced the 17" standard height plastic with a Memphis Shades 15" compact replacement.

I use a HD quick release during the colder months to cut the wind. Wish I had it on for a couple of the evening rides this summer when the bugs were bad.

I have the HD quick release windshield. I wish it were a couple of inches lower. Seems I have to either sit too tall to look over the top, or hunch down to look through it. The top edge is in my line of site.

I would rather have it off until I hit about 60 MPH. Unless it is cold or raining. Then it is great no matter the speed.

I was riding down the highway when a rock hit my windshield. It took a big bite out of it. It would of damaged the bike and myself it was not on.

Have the HD QD, around $300 but worth it, on or off 5 seconds, leaves nothing on the bike, way to go, I think.
