Default rejetting 1220c

I have a 2006 1200 custom and just bought vance and hines stright shots hs and a force winder air intake. what would be the proper jets and any turns on the mixture screw? New to the harley world any help would be appreciated. thanks

A rough guess would be 42 or 45 slow and a 180,185,190 main but it really depends on your elevation for the mixture screw.

If you were doing it with a DJ kit, you'd want a 45 slow, 180 main, and 3.5 turns out on the mixture screw. You wouldn't necessarily need a bigger main jet since you would have a new needle and would have drilled the slide.

But, if you are just changing jets, start with 45 slow, 180 main, 3.5 turns and see where you are at. Bet it'll be right on at idle. The only adjustment would be with the main jet. If you think you are still running lean, and have come out 3.5 turns, go bigger on the main jet. Jump to a 185, 3.5 turns, and recheck.

Its kind of a guessing game without a jet kit but its doable. Just have to tweak it a little. Get on a dyno if you can once you have new jets in.
