Default Idle problem - '05 883 Low

Let me start off by saying that I'm a new rider, so new I've only completed one day of my MSF class so far. So I come to you all with a question.
&nbsp\\;
I have a 2005 Sportster 883 Low with 2,000 miles on it that I bought back in June. Since I promised my wife I would not ride it until I got my MSF class done it has been sitting in my garage since. When I first brought it home it was only running on one cylinder, I changed out the Spark Plugs and that fixed the problem. Now I have a new one...
&nbsp\\;
Whenever I start my bike I have the Enricher **** pulled all of the way out. After about 5 mins I push it in and the bike starts to idle very irradically. If I apply a little throttle it sputters and carb farts then once I roll off the throttle it will die. The outside temp is anywhere between 75-90 so the engine isnt that cold. If i pull the Enricher **** back out it will run, but I'm afraid I will foul the Plugs.
&nbsp\\;
Is there anything I'm doing wrong? What else do you think could cause this? Any help would be much apprieciated.
&nbsp\\;
Thanks,
Soldier48

My '93 only takes maybe 1 minute with the choke out before I can push it in 1/2 way and ride. I go maybe 1/2 mile, then push the choke all the way in, and everything is fine.&nbsp\\;The bike will idle then. Maybe try not keeping the choke on for so long?

i have a 05 1200c&nbsp\\; if the choke is left on to long it idles crazy then shuts off and smoke comes from the hypercharge once i push it back in. the best way in my opionion is to choke for 15 so seconds push in alittle and ride down the rode bout 1mile push all the way back in.

If the bike has basically been sitting for several months, I'd run some Seafoam in the tank.&nbsp\\; Carb is probably gummed up.&nbsp\\; I think your choke time is fine.&nbsp\\; My 883 requires a pretty long choke period the first time I start it everyday, even when it's warm outside.
