Crap! Cant post more than 3 lines! Need to get larger heat shrink wrap to fit over the plugs and totally cover and weatherize the wiring. The blue stuff you see here just didn't quite get it right. Provides some protection but would not want it to get wet right now.

extension cord is routed from 12V adapter down in front and under ignition through the cable bracket under the tank suspended by whatever cables and lines I could find over to the other side between tank and nose of seat then plugged into pigtail. Under seat is the excess.

It's not intended to be wired permanently but I think it's secure enough and versatile enough for what I want to do with it. I'm thinking of putting heat shrink on the exension cord to protect it more from engine heat. Any other ideas? I wanna keep that cord as thin and flexible as I can.

I would be afraid my GPS would vibrate off the mount on my handlebars.&nbsp\\; The actual mirror part of one of my mirrors vibrated off and hit me in the chest one day.

For a soild mount Sportster, you do get more vibration. Get the ram mount, it will dampen the vibration a bit. As you see in my pictures, I use a Kuryakyn bar clamp for mounting my GPS, works great. I also have a ram mount setup, it seems to be better, less vibration.
