Riding Jacket

RE: Riding Jacket
If I'm not mistaken, all they require of you is a long sleeved shirt, gloves, boots or shoes over the ankle, long pants, and of course helmet. I know of some good "airish" riding jackets, but they won't do you a bit of good at parking lot speeds....which is what you'll be doing. So maybe a thin long-sleeved shirt?

RE: Riding Jacket
The MSF course ran by the Air Force on my installation only requires a brightly colored longsleeve shirt. But I plan on wearing my jacket that I bought. I figured I bought it to ride in so I might as well train in it too. Its a mesh/leather jacket with removable armor. Its pretty cool in the heat.

RE: Riding Jacket
Good, then just wear a long-sleeved shirt! If ya want protection, there are some great jackets out there that are extremely cool and airy.
Some jackets are waterproof, have zip out thermal liner, and lots of vents to keep you cool in warm weather. They are pretty expensive, but less expensive than several jackets as the weather and conditions dictate.
