So 20 50 in the engine, but I'd rather run something a little heavier in the primary.&nbsp\\; I have a racing clutch, so highly viscous is a no-no.&nbsp\\; Maybe I'll just go with a little higher end primary fluid or heavy gear oil and run the amsoil in the motor.&nbsp\\; It gets effin hot here, and my 20/50 syn is breaking down noticably fast, so I'm looking for something that's a little better for the engine.&nbsp\\; Thanks guys.&nbsp\\;

You want a 75w-90 Gear Oil. Amsoil and many others make it. Basically the same thing as HDs Formula+ Gear Oil

I never figured you for a botique person though. Many of us run Mobil-1 75w-90 in the box.

If you wouldnt put Gear Oil in your Engine, why would you want to put Engine Oil in your Gearbox? 2 different environments, 2 different oils. HD no longer recommends 1 oil in all holes.

I gotta get somethin better, lol...I'm getting pretty unsatisfactory performance out of the fullsyn HD stuff I'm using now.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; I've noticed alot of break-down in it over the summer months.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; My tranny tends to tighten up a bit on hot days as well.
