I don't think it is hard to take off but I may have mine on wrong.

It has three attachments. One is a leather strap with a buckle on it. The other two are velcro straps. The instructions suggest loosening the rear shock so that the velcro strap can go under a peice of metal. I just fed the strap under the metal. I did take the seat off, but wouldn't be taking the seat off now just to remove the bag or put it back on.

I'm still not sure if I have the velcro fastened the best way. Basically, I have the two ends from each strap \\;coming \\;back into the bag and stuck together.
