Tail bone hurting

RE: Tail bone hurting
I am six feet and 250 lbs. \\;
 \\;
I have a Sundowner (I think) and it is a lot better than stock, but tailbone still hurt. \\; I tried a gel pad\\; it helped, but tailbone still hurt. \\; \\;
 \\;
I upgraded to Progressive shocks in the rear (412's, heavy duty), and that has by and large fixed the tailbone problem. \\; I still get stiff, and have to stretch it out after an hour or two, though. \\;
 \\;
I would start with the suspension upgrade, and then proceed to seat replacement if necessary. \\; Surprisingly, the shocks @ about $300 a pair cost less than some seats, and are not difficult to install.
 \\;
I have heard that Mustang seats are good, but don't have personal experience with them

I agree with the shock upgrade idea. \\; \\; I seems expensine but Sport shock spring preload is inadequate (HD must want you to get pissed and buy a dresser) and I have same problem after 30 miles! \\; \\; Love riding my XL but, on long rides I go with the FLSTC.
