yeah that is a nice write up with great pics, thanks. although, he must be working on an older bike than mine, which is an 07. my bike appears to have a drain tube that hangs straight down, and it directly under the clutch, just about in the middle of the bike. there appears to be a plastic stopper in the hose and i'm assuming when i loosen the hose clamp thats keeping it in there the oil will come a rushin out. i havent changed the oil on my bike yet, so if someone who has an 07 or 08 can tell me if i'm on the right track or not that would be super...i really want to do this myself as opposed to taking it to the dealer.

my tip is to take it to a mechanic. Chances are it's only an extrra 1/2 hour at the most in labor, $35 or so...save yourself the headache and let them do it...simple things are never simple on a Harley!

Yeah the stopper is your drain plug. Don't overfill it. The older books were wrong and alot of rubber mount owners overfilled them and made a hell of a mess. And yes I am one of them.[:@]
