The stock grips on both of my 03 bikes were NOT glued on, just held by the controls. Anyone know when they started glueing the left grip?

The grips on my 2000 model were glued on, and I think the tech at the plant used a whole freakin' tube of glue on just my two grips alone.&nbsp\\; I had to cut them off and scrape the bars/throttle sleeve for hours to get all that chit off. [:@]

My 06, the left was not glued on. Slid right off after loosening switch housing/clutch bracket.

I wonder if it is a regional thing. The bikes are assembled at the plant but I believe the dealers have to install some of the smaller items once they get the bike out of the crate. The grips might be one of those items.

Just changed the handlebars today and used a scewdriver and WD-40. I saved the left grip and was able to use it again. Just take your time.

Cut the suckers off, at least the left one the right one will come right off as soon as you undo the throttle cables. The stock grips are a piece of crap anyways.
